ARTIST
MANA KAWAMURA
He creates paintings using images inspired by motifs and texts from Japanese literature and Japanese mythology, as well as scenes and words that emerge from his own poetry and prose. The way the shapes of the letters and motifs on the canvas crumble and intersect with each other expresses the nature of words, whose meanings change depending on the context and the recipients of the paintings.
