Born in Mie Prefecture in 1994, Shinno dropped out of the Department of Fashion Design, Faculty of Media Arts and Design at Nagoya Gakugei University in 2015. Shinno then graduated from Nagoya Zokei University in 2018 and received her MFA in Sculpture from Musashino Art University in 2020.

Shinno creates mainly three-dimensional works using pastel-colored mediums on materials that have a hard image but are easy to handle, such as concrete blocks, steel, and wood. She uses soft mediums that have gaps in relation to the materials, such as crayons, oil paints, marker pens, duct tape, and wax. Her production style is to work freely as her interests dictate. Shinno is always aware of her state of groping, endeavoring to induce coincidence in her work. However, beyond the expected coincidences, Shinno finds unexpected new goodness during the process of creation, and the work is complete the moment her hand stops. In the work (block on wax) (block on gum tape), there was a moment when the hard materials appeared to be floating during production, and the work was completed at that moment.
